Dr. Jayne Bird

MD, FAAD

Jayne Bird is a board-certified dermatologist, who specializes in medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology. She completed her dermatology residency at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, during which she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Bird gained a rich experience caring for a diversity of patients both medically, cosmetically, and surgically.

Dr. Bird is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and has published several papers in general dermatology and dermatopathology. She has also presented at both regional and national dermatology meetings.

Prior to Brown University, Dr. Bird trained as a medical intern at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was awarded the Merck Award for Academic Excellence as well as the Samuel Spiegel, M.D. Memorial Award for clinical honors. She was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, where she served as the chapter’s vice president.

Dr. Bird is originally from Mountain Home, Idaho, and received her undergraduate degrees in Business Finance and Mathematics from the University of Idaho. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters as well as staying fit.

Dr. Nianda Reid

MD, MBA, FAAD

Dr. Nianda Reid is a board-certified dermatologist, who specializes in medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology, including the use of injectables and laser dermatology. Dr. Reid completed her Dermatology training at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Reid is a graduate of the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and obtained a dual degree M.D./M.B.A. in Health Care Management from the University of Rochester Simon School of Business.
 
Dr. Reid is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. During her Dermatology career, she has presented at national meetings and authored several publications, one of which was during her time living in Australia. Prior to training at Brown University, Dr. Reid trained as a medical intern at Montefiore Medical Center/ Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY. Her extensive background and training has given her a wealth of experience in treating various dermatologic conditions.
 
Dr. Reid is a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Skin of Color Society, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. Dr. Reid has been featured as a skincare expert by magazines such as Women’s Health Magazine, Byrdie, and Cosmopolitan. When she is not taking care of patients, she also enjoys cooking, running, and traveling with her husband and two children.
Amanda Murphy PA-C

Amanda Murphy joins Embrace Dermatology + Aesthetics with almost 20 years experience as a Physician Assistant in dermatology.  She graduated from University of Delaware with a major in Biology and a minor in Spanish.  She received her Masters degree in Physician Assistant studies from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.  Amanda has experience and knowledge treating all areas of skin conditions and disorders in both children and adults. She also has experience performing skin examinations as well as diagnosing and treating skin cancers. 
 
Educating future Physician Assistants is also important to Amanda. She lectures at area Physician Assistant programs on various dermatologic topics as well as teaches dermatologic procedures, suturing techniques and clinical skill labs.  She was awarded Alumnus of the year from Philadelphia college of Osteopathic Medicine for her commitment to education.
 
Amanda has lectured at national Physician Assistant conferences. She is a Society of Dermatology Physician Assistant member (SDPA) as well as a SDPA Diplomat Fellow.
 
Amanda lives in the area with her husband and three children.  She enjoys long distance running, reading, playing tennis and spending time with her family.

Melissa Selig, LE joins the Embrace Dermatology + Aesthetics family as our medical aesthetician with seven years of experience working with clients of all skin types in medical practices and medical spas. Melissa has experience working with many lasers and devices including treatments for acne scars, skin tightening, skin rejuvenation, and is skilled in all aspects of aesthetics. She has a strong passion for all things skincare. Melissa loves this field and loves making clients feel beautiful in their skin.

Elle Speed

Elle’s passion for skincare developed from her personal struggles with acne, hyperpigmentation, and sensitive skin. Skincare has boosted her confidence, and she aims to help her patients achieve the same by enhancing their skin’s quality and glow. Graduating at the top of her class from Lansdale School of Cosmetology, Elle is certified in HydraFacial, microneedling, and dermaplaning.  She remains updated on skincare advancements and techniques to deliver exceptional, long-lasting results.
 
Elle provides both internal and topical support to treat the skin from within and is committed to custom, results-driven treatments.  She creates personalized skincare regimens to extend benefits beyond the treatment room. She believes in building strong relationships and maintaining transparency as she works to achieve real, lasting results for her patients.
